Creepy magazine v1 #95, 1978 - In search of mythical intelligent apes, a big game hunter delves deep into the African jungle. This horrific tale is lushly illustrated by Bernie Wrightson. Greytones are used generously throughout, adding dimension to both the figures and the backgrounds. The artist's superb pacing builds suspense right up to the shocking conclusion. This story was later reprinted in Creepy #113 and Berni Wrightson Master of the Macabre #2. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include John Severin, Esteban Maroto, Luis Bermejo, Jose Ortiz and Leo Duranona.
