Authentic Police Cases #14 - Matt Baker art & cover

Matt Baker
Authentic Police Cases v1 #14, 1951 - Investigating a diamond heist, Inspector Ballard follows the suspects to Belgium and back to New York. Plenty of text and dialogue fill the panels of Matt Baker's pages. Still, he manages to supply succinct drawings and varied layouts to maintain interest. His cover is even better, showing a gang of diamond thieves within a rectangular layout. The excellent figure drawing of the woman makes her the focus, although ironically, she doesn't appear in the story. This is number 9 of 28 Authentic Police Cases issues with Baker art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Baker or Authentic Police Cases issues.
