Wartime Romances v1 #10, 1952 - On Matt Baker's lively cover, a young woman at a dance feels trapped by an aggressive suitor. As usual, the artist's figure drawings are excellent, even within confined spaces (such as the smaller panels to the left). While the scene is generally festive, the girl's expression captures her real concerns. Other artists in this golden age comic include Ben Brown and Dave Gantz.
