Somerset Holmes v1 #3, 1984 - Continuing the exploits of Cliff Hanger. Al Williamson draws another installment in the series. The hero looks for his female companion through a maze of abandoned mine shafts. As one might think, hidden dangers lurk behind every corner. Each of the artist's panels is vividly detailed, add realism to the underground setting. Obstacles such as jaguars and caimans are rendered with equal effort. Williamson's best work occurs at the beginning, just as the hero begins his search. Other artists in this copper age crime comic include Brent Anderson.
