My Greatest Adventure #60 |
My Greatest Adventure v1 #60, 1961 - A gargantuan creature from space lands on Earth in search of an alien sphere. In an odd twist, he must take shelter at night within a human being.
Alex Toth draws this science fiction tale in meticulous detail. Abundant line strokes and cross hatching bring depth and dimension in nearly every scene. His opening splash of a colossal but cowering alien is visually awe-inspiring. Of Toth's many DC silver age comics, this ranks among his best works. This story was later reprinted in
House of Mystery #196. Other artists in this silver age comic include Dick Dillin, Sheldon Moldoff, Ruben Moreira, Gil Kane, Murphy Anderson and George Roussos. This is 2 of 6
