Marvel Comics Presents #73 - Barry Windsor Smith art & cover

Barry Windsor Smith
Marvel Comics Presents v1 #73, 1991 - Captured by agents, Wolverine is immersed in a chemical tank for unknown purposes. Barry Windsor Smith continues this origin story that predates the hero's joining the X-men. The cover's monochromatic theme continues inside, where the effect creates disturbing and almost surreal imagery. Smith illustrates most of the panels in breathtaking detail. Other artists in this issue include Dave Cockrum, Jim Mooney and Paul Gulacy. This is number 2 of 13 Marvel Comics Presents issues with Smith art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Smith or Marvel Comics Presents issues. See also this blog's Smith checklist or Top 10 Smith comics.
