Authentic Police Cases v1 #32, 1954 - Gangsters burst in on a resort in the Catskills, brandishing guns and taking hostages. Matt Baker manages to squeeze in many figures within a relatively small space. The girl in the foreground is an obvious focal point, but her foreshortened arm appears mis-proportioned. The gunman's wafting tie and jacket also suggest the suddenness of the event. Other artists in this golden age crime comic include Enrico Bagnoli.
