Four Color Comics v2 #1055
Walt Disney's Daisy Duck's Diary / Four Color Comics v2 #1055, 1960 - A minor character within Walt Disney's world of ducks, Daisy appears in her first self-titled series within the larger Four Color Comics collection. The stories are told as diary entries in a first person narrative. The use of cursive writing not only makes them intimate but more feminine as well. Carl Barks illustrates the entire issue (except the cover), including five enjoyable stories. All are equally well drawn and meet expectations. Interestingly, Barks also appears to have drawn the playful language puzzle on the inside front cover. "The Double Date" was later reprinted in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #298. This is 1 of 2 Daisy Duck's Diary issues by Barks.
