Romantic Story v1 #107, 1970 - Yet another aspiring model goes to New York, only to find cruelty and disappointment. A chance meeting with a young businessman starts to turn her life around. I have to say that Steve Ditko's artwork is a pleasant surprise. His typically graphic linear style is somewhat softened and the distortion of shapes are minimized. The linework is comforting, matching the tone of the story. He seems to pay special attention to the characters' faces. Ditko did few romance tales in his career, but demonstrates great skill when he does. Other artists in this bronze age romance comic include Charles Nicholas, Vince Alascia and Jack Abel. This is 1 of 1 Romantic Story issues by Ditko.
