Crime Suspenstories #16 - Al Williamson art

Crime Suspenstories v1 #16, 1953 - Accused and convicted of a woman's murder, a man recalls the details of that night before heading to the electric chair. Darkened faces and figures fill this disturbing Al Williamson tale. Heavy areas of black are augmented by gray tones, increasing depth and modeling. While not as spontaneous as other works, Williamson maintains fine brushwork throughout. Other artists in this issue include Johnny Craig, Jack Kamen and Joe Orlando. This is number 2 of 3 Crime Suspenstories issues with Williamson art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Williamson or Crime Suspenstories issues. See also this blog's Al Williamson checklist.
