Authentic Police Cases #37 - Matt Baker cover

Matt Baker
Authentic Police Cases v1 #37, 1955 - Matt Baker illustrates a home intrusion on the verge of becoming a gunfight. His drawings are more textured and detailed than his previous covers. A wash of different colors add to the effect. Baker employs lines of perspective to point toward the action. The woman’s red dress makes her a focal point. The two smaller side panels fall short, but the primary scene is superbly constructed. This is number 27 of 28 Authentic Police Cases issues with Baker art and/or covers (not including reprints).
