Meet Miss Pepper #5 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Meet Miss Pepper v1 #5, 1954 - Youth and inexperience play a part in the mishaps of a pretty young teacher. Unsurprisingly, a gym coach, principal and student nerd comprise the supporting cast. Joe Kubert illustrates four short tales, each superbly laid out and paced. His normally loose pencils are tightened and streamlined by inker Bob Bean. The resulting artwork is humorous, engaging and retains some degree of realism. Kubert's cover is even better, displaying the characters in a clever, atypical design. This is 1 of 2 Meet Miss Pepper issues by Kubert.
