Legion of Super-Heroes v2 #274

Legion of Super-Heroes v2 #274, 1981 - While the Legion mourns over his apparent death, an amnesiac Ultra Boy is taken in by a band of space pirates. Steve Ditko's full length story is punctuated by two splash pages and many spacious panels. Some facial expressions look more forced than others, but otherwise the artist does a largely credible job. Frank Chiaramonte's inking style bears a strong resemblance to Wally Wood, which decidedly benefits Ditko's pencils. This copper age comic includes cover art by Rich Buckler and Bob Smith. This is 4 of 6 Legion of Super-Heroes v2 issues by Ditko
