Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-man v2 #52, 1981 - The White Tiger is executed gangland style on this particularly violent cover. Spider-man's mask in the background serves as a metaphor, but also ties the scene back to the series. Although by Frank Miller, his carefully posed figure drawings and keen sense of design are mostly absent here. The result is a cover indistinguishable from that of his peers.
