Out of the Shadows v1 #5, 1954 - Evading the police, a thief finds refuge in his uncle's cabin, located on a desolate shore in Maine. Alex Toth employs heavy shadows and cropping to evoke the mysterious unknown. While effective in some cases, other panels suffer from lack of clarity and information. In general though, the artwork's strength is in Toth's purposeful sequencing and layout design. This issue also includes artwork by George Roussos, George Tuska and Jerry Grandenetti.
