Warlord #39 - Jim Starlin art

Warlord #39
The Warlord v1 #39, 1980 - In the third installment of an ongoing back-up series, Omac and his troops fend off an attack of the city by an enemy corporation. The story slowly builds into nearly nonstop action and violence. Jim Starlin reinforces the brutality with two superb splashes featuring the lead character. The first shows Omac in the heat of battle against great odds (page 3). The second reveals the aftermath as the exhausted hero sits atop a mound of vanquished soldiers. Other artists in this copper age comic include Mike Grell and Vince Colletta. This is 3 of 3 Warlord issues by Starlin.
