Weird Science v2 #20 - Wally Wood art & cover, Al Williamson / Frank Frazetta art

Weird Science v2 #20 ec science fiction comic book cover art by Wally Wood
Wally Wood
Weird Science v2 #20, 1953 - Due to her husband's exposure to h-bomb radiation, a woman gives birth to a mutant freak. Wally Wood chronicles the little girl's life in an orphanage, revealing her appearance toward the tale's end. Masterfully drawn, Wood expends the same amount of effort to an array of beautiful women on the cover. Inside, the corresponding story by Al Williamson tells of one man's lust over 50 beauties in suspended animation. The artist's more sophisticated style employs fine lines and halftones sometimes lost in the reproduction process. Frank Frazetta's partial inks add little, if any, improvement to the original pencils. Other artists in this golden age age comic include Jack Kamen and Joe Orlando. This is 18 of 20 Weird Science v2 issues by Wood, 6 of 8 Weird Science v2 issues by Williamson and 2 of 4 Weird Science v2 issues by Frazetta.
