Ghosts #94 - Don Newton art

Ghosts v1 #94, 1980 - A South American doctor purposely errs during surgery, killing the rival of his dictatorial president. The artwork is competently drawn by Don Newton, whose penchant for dramatic lighting is evident. His pencils benefit from the depth and dimension added by inker John Celardo (better known for his work for Gold Key). Though different, the two artists' respective styles surprisingly complement each other. Other artists in this issue include Win Mortimer, Jack Sparling, Dan Adkins, Eduardo Barretto, Vince Colletta and Luis Domingez (cover). This is number 2 of 2 Ghosts issues with Newton art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Newton or Ghosts issues. See also this blog's Newton checklist.
