Mystic #60 |
Mystic v1 #60, 1957 - Four thieves make their escape on a plane to Haiti, only to encounter a strange old man with an unusual treasure map. The initial artwork by
Al Williamson seems ponderous and unexciting, atypical of the artist. However, his pencils improve with each subsequent page, aided by the deft hand of inker Ralph Mayo. Their collaborations, such as this case, often resulted in more polished, aesthetically pleasing work. Other artists in this golden age comic include Sid Check and Gene Colan. Cover by John Severin. This is 1 of 1
