Solarman #2 - Nestor Redondo art & cover

Nestor Redondo
Solarman v1 #2, 1989 - Marvel Comics created this character with aspirations for an animated tv show, but never went beyond this two issue series. Nestor Redondo provides the inks over Mike Zeck's pencils. Their collaborative cover is fairly typical for the genre, yet the simplicity in the rendering and color palette suggests a younger audience. On the story pages, Redondo's inking has a robustness and craftsmanship representative of a comics veteran. This may be the artist's only foray in a Marvel superhero comic, yet his delicate style works surprisingly well (especially the first half of the book). His rendition of Dr. Doom is no less menacing than anyone else's. This is 1 of 1 Solarman issues by Redondo.
