Power Man and Iron Fist #67 - Frank Miller cover

Frank Miller
Power Man v1 #67, 1981 - Iron Fist bursts into hidden room to the rescue of his captured partner. This simple, but precise layout by Frank Miller is among his most arresting. An unknown light source nearly spotlights the hero's arrival, while Power Man and his captor remain dim and shadowy. The damaged wall (perhaps metal?) splits to form a graphic burst. Miller uses this technique frequently to add dynamism. Other artists in this issue include Kerry Gammill and Ricardo Villamonte. This is number 2 of 9 Power Man issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Power Man issues. See also this blog's Miller checklist.
