Marvel Classics Comics v1 #12, 1976 - This edition marks the last of the Pendulum paperback reprints, featuring new artwork starting with the next issue. Alex Nino's visual interpretation of the Alexandre Dumas classic is more than capable. His gallant uniforms, interiors and buildings of 17th century France are faithfully rendered. Certain landscapes within the story are excellently drawn, enhancing the overall mood. The opening splash of the Musketeers traversing the hillsides and the seaside port (see interior page below) are but two examples of Nino’s fine artistry. This bronze age comic also includes cover art by Gil Kane and Dan Adkins. This is 3 of 3
