Canteen Kate #3 - Matt Baker art & cover

Canteen Kate v1 #3 st john 1950s golden age comic book cover art by Matt Baker
Matt Baker
Canteen Kate v1 #3, 1952 - Kate accompanies her GI buddies to Tokyo in the first of three humorous tales. The predicaments revolve around military life during the Korean War, complete with some Asian stereotyping. Like the previous two issues, Matt Baker does a splendid job with the illustrations. His drawings are approachable, his linework crisp and clean. Kate is attractive but quirky, not unlike another redhead whose television show debuted just a year before. This is 3 of 3 Canteen Kate issues by Baker.
