Vampirella #10 - Neal Adams, Wally Wood, Frank Brunner art

Vampirella v1 #10, 1971 - Wally Wood's sword and sorcery tale exudes violence and sexuality. His layouts are more inventive than his typical comic book fare, owing to the greater freedom of a magazine format. Neal Adams employs his trademark realism on a story of a modern day succubus disguised as a beautiful woman. Except for the final page, the artist's draftsmanship is evident throughout (particularly on the interior page below). Frank Brunner's flowing, sensuous brushstrokes enhance his story but pales by comparison. This is number 2 of 3 Vampirella issues with Adams art and/or covers, number 2 of 3 Vampirella issues with Wood art and/or covers and number 1 of 2 Vampirella issues with Brunner art and/or covers.
