Droids #2 - Al Williamson art

Droids v1 #2, 1986 - Under the Star Comics imprint, Marvel targeted younger audiences with this and other similar titles. Droids featured Star Wars characters C3po and R2D2, placing them in family friendly stories. Al Williamson, known for his realistic portrayals in several Star Wars comic book adaptations, is strangely out of place here. There is little opportunity to display his inking skills and the results are lacking. This is number 1 of 4 Droids issues with Williamson art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Williamson, Star Wars or Droids issues. See also this blog's Williamson checklist.
