Fighting American #6 - Jack Kirby art, reprint & cover

Fighting American #6, 1955 - As the series nears its end, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby delegate most of the art to others. These artists in turn mimic the duo's style for continuity. Despite the cover's claim "Always All New Stories", the issue does contain several panels from Fighting American #1 recalling Fighting American and Speedboy's respective origins. Comic book price guides indicate two new Simon & Kirby pages, but it appears they drew the opening panels or pages of all four stories. "Super Khakalovitch" (see interior page shown above) looks the most consistent, bearing their bold expressive lines. This is number 6 of 8 Fighting American issues with Kirby art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kirby or Fighting American issues.
