Warp #7 - Frank Brunner art & cover

Frank Brunner
Warp v1 #7, 1983 - Roughly applied inks on the cover result in a hurried or unfinished appearance. The lack of sensitivity makes this Frank Brunner's worst cover of the series. By contrast, his opening splash fares better, using a geometric design to showcase the main characters and their respective roles. The dream-like, ruinous landscape on the two page spread (pages 6-7) is the story's highlight, firmly establishing the setting. This is number 7 of 9 Warp issues with Brunner art and/or coversrt. See today's posts or more Brunner or Warp issues. See also this blog's Brunner checklist or Top 10 Brunner comics.
