Out of This World v2 #5, 1957 -
Steve Ditko's splendid underwater-themed cover leads into no less than four stories by the artist. The first two (about a sea serpent and a lonesome stranger, respectively) are drawn with thicker strokes and shadows. Certain panels lack much needed detail. A South American madman is the subject of the next tale, where timing and layout play a more integral part. The issue culminates with his final tale, "The Man Who Stepped Out of a Cloud". Here, Ditko contrasts the rural countryside against wondrous alien landscapes. His skillful drawings mark this as his best work of the entire issue. "The Thing from Below" was later reprinted in
Monster Hunters #14. "The Night They Learned the Truth" and "I Made a Volcano" were later reprinted in >
