Infinity Inc. #11 - non-attributed Don Newton art

Infinity Inc. v1 #11, 1984 - Stories that included lengthy flashback scenes were often an opportunity to use multiple artists, as is the case in this issue. George Tuska illustrates the bulk of the book while Don Newton does the introductory and closing pages (specifically pages 1,2,3,23 and 24). Newton's first effort on this Justice Society spin-off is mostly a forgettable one. His mediocre layouts and pencils are nearly completely overpowered by inker Tony DeZuniga. His opening splash seems especially uninspired with its scattered placement of super-heroes. Some comic book price guides neglected to attribute story art in this issue to Newton. This is number 1 of 3 Infinity Inc. issues with Newton art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Newton or Infinity Inc. issues. See also this blog's Newton checklist.
