Unknown Worlds #50 - Steve Ditko art

Unknown Worlds v1 #50, 1966 - One man's recurring dreams become a never-ending nightmare in this brief Steve Ditko tale. The opening panel is far too small, failing to signal the beginning of a new story rather than a continuation. Although this is Ditko's shortest page count for the title, it's also the most stylistically recognizable. Sal Trapani's inks also seem less obtrusive, allowing the pencils to come to the fore. Other artists in this issue include Paul Reinman, Edd Ashe and Lou Wahl aka Kurt Schaffenberger (cover). This is number 3 of 4 Unknown Worlds issues with Ditko art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Ditko or Unknown Worlds issues. See also this blog's Ditko checklist.
