Tarzan of the Apes #160 - Russ Manning art

Tarzan of the Apes #160

Tarzan of the Apes v1 #160, 1966 - In part two of Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Jewels of Opar, Tarzan has temporarily lost his memory and runs afoul of thieves and Arabs. As usual, Russ Manning's art is sharply drawn but appealing. He seems to pay particular attention this issue to Arab clothing and jungle foliage. This story was later reprinted in Golden Comic Digest #9. Manning also contributes a fine Brothers of the Spear back-up tale. Other artists in this silver age adventure comic include Nat Edson. Cover by George Wilson. This is 122 of 133 Tarzan issues by Manning.
