Adventures of Rex the Wonder Dog v1 #1, 1952 - Among the scarcest Alex Toth issues from the 1950s, Rex the Wonder Dog saved lives and captured criminals in his exploits. For an animal adventure series, the artwork is appropriate but fairly conservative. A panel or two stands out, but most pages are unremarkable. Sy Barry's inks further erode any spontaneity the original pencils may have had.
