Superboy #161 - Wally Wood art, Neal Adams cover

Neal Adams
Superboy v1 #161, 1969 - Tired of being different, the boy of steel concocts a way to eliminate his super powers, but at what cost? In his last issue for the series, Wally Wood's hand is evident but shows a tad less than the usual effort. In addition to the main feature, the artist also contributes to a two-pager on some of Superboy's secrets. Neal Adams' cover over-dramatizes the plot, but figure drawing and tilted horizon make it arresting nonetheless. This is number 8 of 8 Superboy issues with Wood art and/or covers.
