Iron Fist #7 - John Byrne art

Iron Fist v1 #7, 1976 - Sneaking into a once-impenetrable fortress, Iron Fist must now fight his way out. Along the way, Master Khan reveals a dark secret about the hero's family. John Byrne opens with a beautifully composed, symmetrical splash. Multiple after-images of characters appear frequently, emphasizing sequence and fighting techniques. Byrne's other full page splash combines a tilted horizon with a worm's eye view (see interior page below). The results are effectively dynamic. Other artists in this issue include Ron Wilson and Al Milgrom (cover). This is number 7 of 15 Iron Fist issues with Byrne art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Byrne or Iron Fist issues. See also this blog's Byrne checklist.
