Iron Fist #10 - John Byrne art

Iron Fist v1 #10, 1976 - Wanted by the police for murder, Iron Fist must draw out the city's crime lord to prove his innocence. John Byrne's opening splash deftly spotlights the kung-fu hero against an oversized front page. Other splendid scenes include Iron Fist's methodical war on criminals (page 15) and several kinetic action sequences. One in particular is noteworthy, depicting Iron Fist and his foe locked in battle as they roll down a flight of stairs. Their figures cascade downward in sequence before continuing the fight into the next page. Byrne seems to gain confidence with each subsequent issue. Other artists in this issue include Dave Cockrum (cover). This is number 10 of 15 Iron Fist issues, all with Byrne art. See today's posts or more Byrne or Iron Fist issues.
