Frank Miller |
Daredevil v1 #182, 1982 - Convinced that Elektra's death was faked, Daredevil stops at nothing to find her. Meanwhile, the Punisher cuts a deal that releases him from prison.
Frank Miller's cover seems too simplified and colorful to convey DD's loss. Fortunately, he compensates with a splendid interior story. The layouts are straightforward, yet filled with spacious panels and bold, spontaneous drawings. Matt Murdock's eyes are disproportionately large on the opening splash, intensifying his expression and state of mind. Portions of this copper age story were later reprinted in
Elektra Saga #4. This is 24 of 33
Daredevil issues by
Miller.
