Daredevil #180 - Frank Miller art & cover

Daredevil v1 #180 marvel comic book cover art by Frank Miller
Frank Miller
Daredevil v1 #180, 1982 - On a reporter's hunch Daredevil goes deep underground for a way to beat the Kingpin. Frank Miller employs horizontal panels to echo the length of the sewers and vertical ones to emphasize height (see interior page below). Other pages have a generous use of white space, making layouts much less conventional. Toward the end, Daredevil and Ben Ulrich's underwater escape from a crocodile is visual storytelling at its best. This is number 22 of 33 Daredevil issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Daredevil issues. See also this blog's Frank Miller checklist.
