Wally Wood is no stranger to humor comics, as his work on the early
Mad series can attest to. His tale of a nerdy knight saving a damsel in distress is appropriately goofy yet superbly drawn. Many of the backgrounds are meticulous in detail, making this comparable to other, more serious bronze age works. This story was later reprinted in
Best of DC #60. Sergio Aragones illustrates two excellent framing pages and two single-page gags. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Dave Manak. Cover by Basil Wolverton. This is 2 of 11
