Iron Fist #3 - John Byrne art

Iron Fist v1 #3, 1976 - Arriving in London to help a friend, Iron Fist and Misty Knight's plane is suddenly torn apart by the armor-masked Ravager. John Byrne divides some of the pages into too many panels, losing clarity in the process. The artist's inexperience shows in every panel and layout, most unfortunately in an anticlimactic final splash page. One bright spot is the opening page, where Byrne deftly superimposes the hero's face over an airport setting. Other artists in this issue include Keith Pollard and Klaus Janson (cover). This is number 3 of 15 Iron Fist issues with Byrne art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Byrne or Iron Fist issues. See also this blog's Byrne checklist.
