Weird Science-Fantasy #29 - Frank Frazetta cover, Al Williamson, Wally Wood art

Weird Science-Fantasy v1 #29 ec comic book cover art by Frank Frazetta
Frank Frazetta
Weird Science-Fantasy v1 #29, 1955 - Man regresses into cavemen in Al Williamson's cautionary tale, while aliens take away a family member in Wally Wood's short story. Though different in style, both are exquisitely drawn with passion and skill. Incredibly, these fine efforts are eclipsed by Frank Frazetta's brutal cover. Originally done for Famous Funnies, the image was rejected due to its extreme violence. Perfectly composed and boldly drawn, this is Frazetta's most well-known work in comics. Other artists in this issue include Joe Orlando and Reed Crandall. This is number 1 of 1 Weird Science-Fantasy issues with Frazetta art and/or covers, number 5 of 5 Weird Science-Fantasy issues with Williamson art and/or covers and number 7 of 7 Weird Science-Fantasy issues with Wood art and/or covers.
