Nestor Redondo's lengthy tale tells of a crooked real estate tycoon and a rotund old woman. Nicely illustrated in his classical style, the story's highlight is a montage panel of a skyscraper being built over time (page 6). On
Bernie Wrightson's opening splash, Cain and his pet gargoyle entertain children at an aviary. Sumptuously drawn, the lightheartedness contrasts against the somber tone of the stories following. Other artists in this comic include Jack Sparling and Tony DeZuniga. Cover by Russ Heath. Wrightson's page was later reprinted in
Roots of the Swamp Thing #2 and
