Doomsday Plus One v1 #6, 1976 - Note that this issue contains the last original story, before reprints begin. A striking John Byrne cover opens the tale, colored in angry reds and oranges. A cool splash page follows, as the Doomsday team fends off an attack from all sides. The art tends to decline midway through the book, starting with the caveman's battle with a futuristic gorilla (center spread). While recognizable in style, Byrne's energy seems to have waned in his last issue. This story was later reprinted in Doomsday +1 #12. This is 6 of 6 Doomsday +1 issues by Byrne. /// Byrne gallery
