Neal Adams |
3. X-men v1 #57, 1969 - Larger and more menacing than before, the Sentinels return once more to hunt the mutant population. Neal Adams' second issue on this title exceeds his first, drawing each page with realistic flair. Of the many exceptional pages, the Beast's fall from a high rise building is the most stunning (page 12). The sequence is nearly silent, emphasizing the extreme height and velocity involved. On Adams' cover, the encroaching Sentinels convey a feeling of sheer hopelessness. This story was later reprinted in Giant-size X-men #2 and X-Men Classics #1. Other artists in this issue include Werner Roth and Sam Grainger. This is 2 of 9 X-men issues by Adams. /// Top 10 Adams comics / Adams gallery

X-Men 14 for first sentinels sorry to be pedantic used to have that one along with other X-men issues sad no longer (sigh)
Just double-checked and you're right. Must have gotten confused because the storyline continues into X-men #15. No apologies necessary. Thanks for helping me keep this blog accurate!
