Stalker #2 - Steve Ditko / Wally Wood art & cover

Stalker #2, 1975 - The swordsman without a soul continues his quest, arriving at the literal edge of the world. Steve Ditko and Wally Wood continue their collaboration on the series, drawing imaginative fantasy scenes and creatures. Their title page splash is more straightforward than usual, but the artwork as a whole meets expectations. Wood's inks mostly enhances the female characters, including a mild bondage/torture scene (see interior page above). This is number 2 of 4 Stalker issues with Ditko art and/or covers and number 2 of 4 Stalker issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood, Ditko or Stalker issues. Wood and Ditko/Ditko and Wood -- no matter how you put it, a great artist's team-up. A swell comic, too!
