Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #7, 1965 - A metallic plague infects the robots on Earth, causing them to wantonly attack humans before disintegrating. The artwork has an impressive degree of complexity, including scenes of robotic mobs (see interior page below) and a planetary-wide electronic brain. Russ Manning's superb drawings culminate on a rare splash page, depicting Magnus fending off a mental attack with the aid of 1,000 psychics. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #40. The Aliens, an ongoing secondary feature, is adeptly illustrated despite the short page count.
