Magnus Robot Fighter #20 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #20, 1968 - At the request of Prince Shandor, Magnus travels to the Himalayas, where a tyrannical robot grows in size and influence over the Tibetan people. Russ Manning revels in depicting this exotic and remote locale, juxtaposing mountainous peaks and caverns with complex machinery. Several large panels suggest an enormity of scale, especially the spectacular vista on page 19. Nearing the end of his run, Manning delivers an equally appealing climax in the secondary feature. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #43. This is number 20 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues with Manning art and/or covers (not including reprints).
