Destroyer Duck #7 - Frank Miller cover

Frank Miller
Destroyer Duck v1 #7, 1984 - On this cover, Frank Miller draws the character with a disturbing combination of humor and violence. This parody of the gun-toting films of the era (Rambo, etc.) is perfectly suited. Laden with an abundance of weapons, Destroyer Duck lights a lone match, illuminating his maniacal face. This technique was often employed by Miller and works especially well here. Other artists in this issue include Gary Kato, Alfredo Alcala and Val Mayerik. This is number 1 of 1 Destroyer Duck issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Destroyer Duck issues. See also this blog's Miller checklist.
