Isis #1 - Wally Wood art

Mighty Isis #1, 1976 - Based on the CBS Saturday morning kid's show, this issue features the second comic book appearance of Isis (see Shazam #25 for the first). Wally Wood would ink numerous DC books during the mid 1970s, but does a slightly less than impressive job here. The characters' figures and faces are not clearly delineated and backgrounds lack detail. Ric Estrada's pencils seem to be quickly applied without much regard to pacing and layout. The two artists have teamed up before on other series, with noticeably better results. This is 1 of 1 Isis issues with Wood art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Wood or Isis issues. See also this blog's Wood checklist.

Wasn't the first appearance of Isis in a DC Captain Marvel prior to this?
Right you are. I changed the text accordingly. Thanks.
