Iron Fist #14 - John Byrne art

Iron Fist v1 #14, 1977 - Iron Fist travels to Calgary, responding to a request by Colleen Wing. Hired to provide extra security, Daniel Rand is instead captured by the mercenary Sabre-Tooth (his first appearance). Panels are more numerous than previous issues, but John Byrne maintains a high level of draftsmanship. Notable scenes include the hero succumbing to snow-blindness (simulated by an empty panel on page 23) and the heart-pounding opening splash. Sabre-Tooth would appear next in Power Man and Iron Fist #66. Other artists in this issue include Al Milgrom (cover). This is number 14 of 15 Iron Fist issues with Byrne art and/or covers.
