Incredible Hulk v2 king-size special #1 - Jim Steranko cover

Incredible Hulk v2 annual #1 marvel comic book cover art by Jim Steranko
Jim Steranko
Incredible Hulk v2 king-size special #1, 1968 - The custom-drawn masthead crumbles under its own massive weight while the Hulk strains to keep it in place. Jim Steranko deviates from the standard logo, creating his own forceful typography. Curiously absent from the cover, the guest-starring Inhumans appear in name only. Steranko's arresting and innovative cover is among the most influential works of the silver age. Other artists in this issue include Marie Severin, Syd Shores, Frank Giacoia and John Verpoorten. This is number 1 of 1 Incredible Hulk issues with Steranko art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Steranko or Incredible Hulk issues. 1. Note the head was redrawn by Marie Severin. Some adverts for this book showed Steranko's original drawing in which the Hulk's face was shown with a much more savage expression.
